The Venezuelan Revolution : 100 Questions-100 Answers

I just had the privilege of hearing Chesa Boudin speak in Brookline about Venezuela and about his new book, "The Venezuelan Revolution: 100 Questions- 100 Answers", which he co-authored with two Venezuelan natives: Gabriel Gonzales and Wilmar Rumbos.

Boudin, an extremely bright and well-spoken young man, has recently returned from spending a year in Venezuela after traveling there with the intent of staying for only a couple weeks.

I encourage anyone who is interested in the situation in Venezuela to pick up his book, especially in light of recent statements from the Bush administration seeking to demonize Chavez and his government.

By the way, Citgo (with all of their roughly 14,000 filling stations in the US owned by Venezuela's state oil company- Venezuela is the world's 5th largest producer of oil), has recently begun offering oil for home heating to poor families in the northeastern US (including Boston, Delaware, New York, Chicago, etc.) at a 40% discount. Citgo has invited many American owned oil companies to participate in this program, all of which have declined.
